Rebecca Raven

Rebecca is currently the Head Instructor and Horse  Developer at RCA Equestrian. Born under the Year of the Horse, Rebecca, has a passion for all things Equine. Raised with horses her whole life, the western lifestyle was always part of the plan. As an avid rider she began very young and never looked back. Taking part as a lead-liner, walk-trotter, and later as a youth rider  in AHA (Arabian Horse Association) she began to win and develop a love of the show ring. As a youth, Rebecca was also active in the  El Paso County 4-H program and held prominent offices such as President and Youth Leader.

During college Rebecca continued to be active in the equine community. She was a member of the UM-Western Show team both Western and English(2004-2008) and qualified for Regionals in both disciplines multiple years. In 2008, as Assistant Western Coach, she went on to show at the  IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association)  Nationals in Los Angeles, CA in Western Horsemanship and Reining. Taking home a Top 10 in Horsemanship. She was also active in the Professional Horsemen’s Association developing and showing young horses for John Xanthopoulos of J & S Sport Horses(Dillon, MT). Rebecca turned her passion for horses into a career and started RCA Equestrian. Her main focus is now teaching and developing the next generation of horsewomen and horsemen.

Sammy Ryan

Sammy’s colorful life is a true reflection of her passion for horses and the equestrian lifestyle.  Stories of great horses and hair raising adventures may begin to roll if you have the opportunity to sit down and ‘chat for a minute’.

From driving Belgians to feed hungry, cold cattle in blustering Montana winter winds to racing thoroughbreds across grassy Texas polo fields riding the competition off the line of the ball, horses have taken Sammy coast to coast and to international destinations. Sammy rarely says no to an equestrian adventure!

Sammy’s pursuit for a formal equine education drew her to the University of Montana Western (UMW) in Dillon, Montana. While attending as a Business Management major and an Equine Studies minor, the first Natural Horsemanship Bachelor’s Degree was developed at UMW. Sammy joined the pilot class, was recognized as the Natural Horsemanship Top Student of her class and became the first graduate of the program. She then transitioned to an instructor in the Natural Horsemanship Program.

After 5 years as an instructor at UMW, Sammy left to pursue opportunities for personal development as a trainer and competitor. She focused on creating reliable ranch horses that were also competitive in the arena. She won events including barrel racing competitions, hunter jumper shows, extreme trail and even qualified for the American Quarter Horse World Show in the Ranching Heritage Challenge Limited Open 5/6 Year Old.

Some of her fondest memories are teaching 4H horse camp and helping eager students learn about horses. Her passion for educating others on becoming better horsemen and women directed her path to learning more about technology and developing material that could help equestrians world-wide. She recently created, a membership website dedicated to giving dreamers, amateurs and professionals the tools they need for success in the equine industry.
